Who would have thought making coconut milk from a coconut would be so easy? Not to mention loads cheaper than the can stuff. I don’t find many useful things on yahoo related sites, but this one was awesome.

Shred the meat of a fresh coconut and save the shredded coconut in the fridge. One coconut can make about 4 cups of milk. This recipe yields roughly 1 cup of coconut milk.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup shredded fresh coconut
  • 1 cup water

Optional

  • Creamer
  • Sugar to taste
