Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cornmeal (finely ground)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 large green tomatoes (sliced 1/4 inch)

Directions

  1. Mix cornmeal with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in heavy skillet.
  3. Dip tomatoes in the mix.
  4. Fry slowly until brown, turning once.
