This brine comes out slightly salty so maybe 1/2 cup less table salt would do the job. This was for 8 turkey legs so if doing a full bird I would keep the full cup of salt.

#Ingredients

  • 1 cup table salt
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Complete seasoning
  • 4 quarts (128 oz) water

#Directions

  1. Heat in a pot stirring until sugar and salt is dissolved.
  2. Let brine cool to room temp.
  3. Soak turkey for at least 12 hrs in the refrigerator. I typically put it in the night before & cook the following afternoon.
