Turkey Brine
This brine comes out slightly salty so maybe 1/2 cup less table salt would do the job. This was for 8 turkey legs so if doing a full bird I would keep the full cup of salt.
#Ingredients
- 1 cup table salt
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Complete seasoning
- 4 quarts (128 oz) water
#Directions
- Heat in a pot stirring until sugar and salt is dissolved.
- Let brine cool to room temp.
- Soak turkey for at least 12 hrs in the refrigerator. I typically put it in the night before & cook the following afternoon.
