#Ingredients

  • 24 oz of fresh fruit or 20 oz frozen fruit
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp powdered fruit pectin

Prep

  • Put a ceramic or glass plate in the freezer.
  • Wash 2 canning jars.
  • If using fresh fruite, wash. If using frozen fruit, defrost.

Cook Jam

  • Mash Berries in pot
  • Add lemon juice, sugar, and pectin to pot, Mix.
  • Heat the berry mixture on low-medium heat to make sure everything is dissolved
  • Once the mixture has small bubbles, turn the heat to medium-high. Boil for 10-15 minutes stirring constantly.

Test Jam

  • Take pot off stove and spread a small spoonful of jam onto frozen plate. Put plate in freezer for 1 minute.
  • Take frozen plate out of the freezer and push the jam with your finger.
  • If jam wrinkles it’s done! If jam is runny, heat on high for another 3-5 minutes and test again.
